Blood Brothers - Theatre on the Bay - Sept. 2013, Montecasino Theatre - Nov 2013, Fugard Theatre - Feb 2014

David Kramer brings together eccentric musicians from the far corners of Southern Africa and explores the connection between ancient stringed instruments to their modern counterparts.

Ronnie Moipolai, who, like Hannes Coetzee, has become a YouTube cult figure with his upside-down left hand "katara" styling and his flamboyant bass-string technique has to be seen to be believed. It will be the first time that Moipolai will perform outside of Botswana.

David Kramer - JisJis Jis

The Karoo Kitaar Blues experience has been the inspiration for this collection of songs. It is essentially about the exploration of roots music that evolved in these dry and isolated regions. It is about the lives and the history of the people and the place. About the forgotten writers, composers and players who remain anonymous because their endeavours were not recorded by historians.
